| CENTRE FOR BRONCHOPNEUMOPATHY |
 The
new highly equipped Centre for Bronchopneumopathy is now open at
the Virgilio Spa. Two spacious surgeries are now in operation,
fully equipped with diagnostic instruments, 20 multipurpose
inhalation machines and 10 machines for pulmonary ventilation.
This centre is supervised by the Centre for Respiratory Medicine
of the University of Milan, directed by Professor Luigi Allegra,
an internationally renowned Chest Specialist. The Centre for
Bronchopneumopathy offers an intensive clinical programme to
patients suffering from diseases of the lower airways: chronic
bronchitis, chronic obstructive bronchitis and bronchiectasis.
Case studies from the centre are used in research, and articles
are published in the leading scientific journals in this field.
