The natural environment offers some extraordinary sights. The
Varone waterfalls, eroded by the waters flowing along the Rio Magnone for
thousands of years, cascade from a height of 87 m inside the mountain.
The Marocche di Drņ are a huge mass of rocks (in Italian marocche are
boulders) which slid from the side of the mountain, and can be reached from Riva
del Garda by following the road to Varone as far as the village of Riva Altra.
Another geological curiosity are the Marmitte dei Giganti di Nago,
glacial pools which according to popular legend served as cooking pots for the
giants. Take the main road from Torbole to Nago and follow the signs.
